It is common nowadays when Windows will force it’s end user to connect to the internet and create an online account with their services. But for some scenario especially in IT, we need an offline account (Local Account). But windows has been repeatedly try to disable this function. Here is how to force bypass this painful setup:
✅ Method 1: Bypass Network Requirement with Command Prompt (OOBE Bypass)
- Press
Shift + F10
This opens Command Prompt during setup. - Type the following command and press Enter:
OOBE\BYPASSNROThis stands for Out-Of-Box Experience \ Bypass Network Requirement Option. - Your PC will restart and return to the setup screen — now with an option like “I don’t have internet” or “Continue with limited setup”.
- Choose that option to complete setup offline.
🛠 Alternative: Install Network Driver via USB
If the above doesn’t work (e.g., on some newer hardware):
- On another computer, download the correct network/Wi-Fi driver from the manufacturer’s site (use model-specific drivers).
- Transfer it via USB drive to this PC.
- Use the “Install driver” button shown on screen and point to the USB.
